Burke is the founder of girltank, an online crowd-funding platform that gives girls and women the opportunity to share their social initiatives with the world. It provides a much-needed infrastructure for girls starting promising projects and helps them sustain their work and gain visibility as real innovators. To date, girltank has helped fund approximately 1,500 women change-makers from 104 countries.

girltank won the 2010 Youtopia Grant from Free Range Studios and was named the Best Company for Social Good by the Founder Institute in 2014.
